Job Description

As a Bookkeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy for various clients across New Zealand. Utilizing cutting-edge software like Xero, you’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, process transactions, and ensure precise record-keeping. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio, continuously expand your skills, and contribute to the financial success of businesses across multiple industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero accounting software
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions using Hubdoc for supplier management
  • Assist with GST calculations and reporting
  • Support payroll processing using Smartly software
  • Prepare and analyze financial spreadsheets for reporting and analysis
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting and management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software
  • Experience with Hubdoc and Smartly is a plus, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping processes
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Scope:

  • 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day 
  • Monday to Friday, flexible anytime but ideally within New Zealand business hours
