The role

Reporting to the Content Marketing Lead, as Content Marketing Associate you'll be at the heart of Atom’s storytelling engine. Your creativity and ideas will help shape the direction of our content to engage audiences across a variety of platforms. This isn’t just a supporting role — it’s a chance to dive deep into the world of content marketing, make an impact, and grow quickly in your career.

From brainstorming fresh concepts to crafting compelling copy, you’ll have the opportunity to flex your creative muscles every day. Whether it’s writing a killer blog post, creating a buzz on social media, or bringing ideas to life through email content, your work will help us connect with our audience in meaningful ways. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.


What you will do
  • Create compelling and engaging digital content across multiple formats, including blogs, marketing emails, social media, newsletters, and website pages
  • Help manage and maintain the content calendar and content strategy for B2C and B2B audiences, ensuring deadlines are always met
  • Ensure every piece of content is up to the desired levels of quality and adheres to brand and messaging guidelines
  • Utilise basic SEO principles to optimise content for search engines
  • Work with the marketing team to develop innovative marketing campaigns aimed at maximising customer retention and lifetime value
  • Assist in producing multimedia content (videos, podcasts, infographics, email courses, etc.)
  • Monitor and report on Atom content and SEO data, including behaviour, engagement trends and opportunity gaps
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in SEO and content marketing, sharing insights and recommendations with the team

Who you are
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or similar, or a relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with SEO and content marketing methodologies and their best practices
  • Exceptional English fluency and excellent copywriting, copyediting and proofreading abilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic startup environment
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly creative, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling and engagement
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate content performance and spot opportunities for growth
  • Positive attitude, team player, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience that will set you apart:
    • Strong understanding of the UK selective education sector (grammar and independent)
    • Experience using software including GA4, Figma, Canva, HubSpot, or other email marketing and automation tools is a bonus for this role!
