Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. On average, Plains handles more than 6 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

#Plains is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Microsoft Entra ID and Azure technologies, as well as have a solid understanding of workflows to and from a cloud base HR system (Workday preferred). This role requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The candidate must maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and personal accountability when handling sensitive and restricted information.

The selected candidate will be eligible for company benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Time Off (PTO). Additionally, this position comes with the option of a hybrid work schedule, combining working in our Houston office with working remotely. Parking is provided in our downtown office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage access controls and identity lifecycle workflows (Joiner, Mover, Leaver scenarios).

  • Develop and implement access reviews to help drive compliance by ensuring authorized access to systems and resources.

  • Ability to build out Entra ID dynamic security groups by creating membership rule logic.

  • Ability to provision to cloud services via SCIM.

  • Ability to troubleshoot within the Entra ID and Azure ecosystem.

  • Analyze and solve problems using a structured approach.

  • Innovate and multi-task with minimal oversight.

  • Keep detailed records and documentation of IAM processes and changes.

  • Work effectively with different teams such as HR, IT, and external vendors.

  • Understand the requirements related to audit and compliance reporting.

  • Ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.

  • Understand Change Management processes.
     

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience working in the IAM field with a solid understanding of IAM concepts and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies in the wider Identity and Access Management space (SCIM, Entra Provisioning Service, Conditional Access Policies, RBAC, Dynamic Entra ID groups, Multifactor Authentication, etc.)

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with hybrid Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Microsoft Exchange Administration, Microsoft SQL Database, and Windows Server 2019 and above.

  • Knowledge and experience with Zero Trust principles and frameworks.

  • Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate

  • ITIL certification

  • At least 2 years’ experience in ServiceNow

  • Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks

  • Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing
     

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of Logic Apps and Logic App based Extensions.

  • Working knowledge of Workday

  • Additional relevant certifications in cybersecurity or IAM are a plus
