Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting Information Technology staff in the installation, maintenance, implementation, and continuous usage of mid-range and mainframe software and hardware platforms. Provides and promotes a technical environment which will maximize the productivity of IT personnel while minimizing cost and organizational impact.
Job Duties:
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements new system software products, product updates, and new releases.
- Maintains an inventory of products, current release level, and all updates or local modifications.
- Informs appropriate personnel of new features, limitations, and considerations produced by upgrades or new products.
- Participates in the evaluation of new hardware products and upgrades.
- Assists in diagnosing hardware problems, and effecting recovery and restart.
- Provides documentation on general system operating procedures.
- Controls the distribution of manuals and updates to ensure prudent purchasing, utilization, and currency of publications.
- Facilitates online documentation where possible to avoid hardcopy.
- Provides education and counsel to users and IT personnel on the use and understanding of systems software.
- Serves as a liaison to vendor software support personnel as needed by IT personnel.
- Determines, implements, and facilitates programs and procedures to analyze resource utilization and support planning activities.

- Virtual Cloud Desktop Experience (AWS Workspaces, VMWare, M365)
- Level 3 troubleshooting
- Windows OS 10/11 troubleshooting
- OS Image building and deployment
- Software support - submitting for package updates, upgrading to new versions and remediating vulnerability
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years-Relevant experience* (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s):
Valid Driver's License - Default Issuing Body
