Responsibilities:

Strategy Deployment is a “process excellence” tool of the Berry Operating System. It is a proven methodology to convert “breakthrough” strategies into reality by deploying key initiatives into the organization.
Initiated at the most senior level of leadership, it is designed to cascade through multifunctional teams and organizational tiers to drive meaningful / sustainable solutions to realize the strategy.
Strategy Deployment provides: 


• A robust business strategy that identifies which game we are playing and how we are going to win.
• The platform to determine who we are competing against.

• A focus on Breakthrough Objectives vs Daily Operations KPI’s.
• Opportunity for leadership to focus on building strategy & competitive processes verse firefighting.
• Alignment is Lean & 6 Sigma initiatives to strategy.
• Means to deploy the strategy throughout the organization.


In this role, you will be responsible for the most “important” function…
1. Working between the Divisional Leaders and their extended organization (Tier 2, 3, & 4).
2. Mastering & Leading the Hoshin Kanri (X – Matrix) Tool
3. Cascading the strategy through the extended organization.
4. Aligning initiatives to Breakthrough Objectives
5. Aligning Metrics and Resources to Objectives
6. Assisting in the creation of Action Plans and Bowlers.
7. Co-facilitating the Breakthrough “success” accordingly
8. Assist Team’s in their preparation for the Monthly Executive Review.


The Strategy Deployment OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead Strategy Review of Market & Voice of Customer
• Lead Strategy Review of Hansei “Self-Reflection / Introspection” Analysis.
• Identify potential breakthrough drivers (Market Presence, Disruptive Drivers, Value Prop, Ops Excellence, etc…)
• Value Stream Analysis of Current & Future State
• Build the Hoshin Matrix
• Define Deployment Structure, Metrics, and Resources.
• Establish Strategy Review Rules, Frequency, and Venue.


The Strategy Deployment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Data analysis and translation of data/statistics into tangible business decisions using data modeling and statistical analysis tools.
• Analyzes and identify process improvement opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to scope and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
• Trains, coaches, and mentors all employees on Hoshin methodology.
• Works with stakeholders to ensure projects achieve intended results, where risks are proactively identified and mitigated, and benefits are validated.
• Provides expertise and share best practices regarding Process Improvement tools, methodologies, and team leadership.
• Manage a portfolio of improvement projects, including auditing of implemented projects to ensure that process improvements are sustained, and benefits are realized.

Qualifications:

POSITION SKILL SET

 

* Strong leadership style coupled with a collaborative nature, very good interpersonal relationship, and trainer’s skills

* Master’s degree or equivalent level of experience

* Held multiple senior level operating roles (including P&L responsibility) in global manufacturing organizations

* Pedigree in 6 Sigma Problem Solving

* Practical knowledge in Lean Value Stream Transformation

* Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive leadership
