General Scope and Summary:

Exiger is seeking an experienced and energetic team player for the newly created role of Director of ESG Solutions. The Director will report to the Head of Proactive Intelligence and will work collaboratively across functions and play a key role in developing and delivering Exiger’s sustainability product solutions strategy, staying abreast of ESG regulations and providing technical expertise to team members and clients, and advising clients how to best meet regulatory requirements via Exiger’s product capabilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate closely across selected functions (including sales, product development, ESG and delivery teams) to develop and implement an integrated and coordinated sustainability product solutions strategy, with objectives to design and enhance product development, provide client advisory support, and collaborate with sales to drive growth.
  • Partner closely with the Head of ESG to develop thought leaderships materials, including creating and publishing suggested guidance about how companies can achieve compliance with various ESG-related regulations, customer alerts on newsworthy topics
  • Represent the company at networking events and conferences and help drive inputs into events such as webinars, podcasts and round tables focused on ESG.
  • Develop ESG sales and targeting approach, including tracking and reporting progress against key objectives; prepare regular updates to executive team and Board of Directors on ESG trends, priorities and initiatives to drive and elevate Exiger’s in market ESG presence.
  • Continuously research and evaluate evolving ESG trends and legislation (e.g. EUDR, CBAM, CSDDD, Modern Slavery regs, CSRD and more), with a global perspective; stay informed regarding emerging sustainability issues and best practices; identify opportunities for collaboration and assist with development of policy recommendations.
  • Maintain the ESG knowledge hub for Exiger employees.
  • Provide ESG relevant training as needed across the organization.

 

What You Need:

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience related to sustainability/corporate governance/ESG, with direct experience developing and implementing CSR/ESG reporting programs
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, JD or MA/MS in sustainability, environmental, public policy or related work is preferred
  • Current and clear understanding of broad ESG issues, particularly relating to sustainability technology solutions and ESG-related regulations including CBAM, CSDDD, CSRD, EUDR, California Climate Accountability Act, SEC GHG Disclosure Rule, UFLPA, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in sustainability within a large, global organization
  • Strong network within sustainability, ESG and other related communities a plus
  • Proactive, highly motivated self-starter with a high level of intellectual, professional and interpersonal agility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and motivation to learn new content, consider new resources and innovate
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to communicate complex circumstances and issues and provide clear, concise and supported recommendations
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and planning skills; capacity to work independently and simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under deadline pressure
  • Team-oriented, with provide ability to form strong working relationships and work cross-functionally to drive results
  • Strategic, creative, practical and open-minded thinking with excellent business judgment and a focus on business outcomes
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and ability to address conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive and effective manner
  • Consulting background and supply chain risk management a plus.
  • High personal standards of excellence and sound judgment
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
