This role is the support development role within the iOS technology stack. The software engineer contributes to established iOS design choices and technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be engaged in the development process.

Key Responsibilities (Tech Stack):
  • Collaborate with the tech lead and development team to build a secure, privacy-focused browser for iOS using WebKit.
  • Assist in implementing core functionalities such as secure browsing, data protection features, and optimized WebKit integration.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Swift, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Test and debug browser features to ensure smooth functionality and secure user experiences.
  • Stay informed about iOS updates and WebKit changes to apply the latest features and improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews, learning from senior engineers and contributing constructive feedback.
  • Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.
  • Active leader in the Architecture Practice community, mentoring Engineers and others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams, supporting the growth of technical capabilities.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience/expertise working as a Software Engineer, with proficiency in the specified technologies:
  • Basic experience in iOS app development, particularly in Swift, with exposure to WebKit or similar frameworks.
  • Understanding of fundamental security and privacy principles in mobile app development.
  • Familiarity with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and iOS privacy policies.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, especially in secure and privacy-focused application development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under guidance and independently on smaller tasks.
  • GitHub.Must have good expertise in unit testing (Jest).Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Communicate in a clear and understandable manner with clients and managers.Demonstrated problem solving, analytic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Should have experience working in Agile (awareness of user stories, story estimation in story points, etc.).
