 BACKGROUND:  

DWK Life Sciences LLC (DWK) was created as a result of the merger of three industry leaders and provides the world’s laboratories and production environments with the most comprehensive range of labware for scientific research and technical applications, as well as solutions for storage and packaging. We manufacture a full range of precision glassware and specialty products for life sciences. We also offer products and services (vials, ampules, stoppers, septa, seals, caps, bottles, tubes, flasks, and value-added services) to customers seeking packaging solutions. 

Company revenue is generated through four primary channels: Global distributors, National distributors, Direct field selling efforts, and inside/telephone sales selling efforts.  

DWK supports four primary market segments: Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Analytical Sciences, and Industrial glass.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Content Coordinator is responsible for gathering content requirements, both internal business requirements and external distributor requirements, and ensuring that DWK Life Sciences content meets these requirements.  This position will report to “Digital Experience & Operations” and will work very closely with the MarCom team and Product Managers as well as support the Partner Success team to provide content, branding updates and product enrichment for identified distributors.  The incumbent will promote and publish consistent brand-appropriate content and user experiences across multiple platforms with the distributors.   Content includes:  all text within the products (long and short product descriptions, specifications, product numbers, pricing) as well as support documentation (photography, product manuals, line drawings MSDS, C of A’s etc.) and website content changes and campaign text; all of which will be managed through the new PIM system.  The Content Coordinator organizes, manages, and assures the quality of all product content. This is a remote position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Continually audit, maintain and update distributors’ content, new item admissions process, and photos both digitally and in print. Ensures that content, part numbers and photos are up to date.
  • Assist Digital Experience & Operations manager in various capacities ranging from the highly tactical (sometimes making minor content corrections or updates) to new larger projects that have been initiated by the Digital Experience & Operations manager.
  • Manage content enrich initiatives and marketing calendars for independent distributors according to the Partner Success marketing programs 
  • Analyzing content effectiveness and suggesting improvements.
  • Maintain well-organized, easy-to-access content file structure, for distributors, based on page flow and wireframe for each assignment.
  • Assist Digital Experience & Operations manager with some fulfillment responsibilities, such as coordinating and shipping Sales materials.
  • Contribute to feed PIM system
  • Recognize their contribution to the effectiveness of Product Information Management, including the benefits of improved performance.
  • Comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with the PIM.
  • Acquire knowledge of the products and services.
  • Understand the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • B.A. in related field or 5+ year’s relative experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in interactive content environments, such as Web Content, Copywriting or Content Specialist.
  • Experience in SAP and proficiency in excel a plus
  • Life Science Industry Experience a plus
  • Attention to the details and precision is a must

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work may take place in an office, warehouse or manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 20 pounds. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure. Travel domestic and/or international occasionally.
