BASIC FUNCTION

This role manages complex, enterprise strategic projects, many of which overlap to form an Enterprise program. Incumbent is responsible for successful delivery of program products or services. Incumbent will leverage project management and continuous improvement tools and methodology to deliver assigned program outputs on time, within budget and scope, while maintaining high quality standards. Incumbent will plan, organize, monitor, and manage programs (with underlying projects) to meet defined requirements or business objectives. Related to these projects, incumbent will establish and direct efforts of the program and/or project teams and related resources to successfully plan, develop, test, and implement assigned programs, from project initiation to close out.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Determine program and/or project goals and priorities with project Sponsors, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Direct and communicate clear vision of the program and/or project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them.
  • Manage complex problems or escalated issues/roadblocks where analysis of the situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors to achieve the best program results.
  • Provide program management expertise, which includes leading various highly complex projects within assigned program; Serve as lead on projects and programs involving multiple project staff.
  • Meet with business unit leadership and various stakeholders to review and determine program/ project requirements, and related specifications, such as plans for testing, support, and training, and establish timeline and budget.
  • Manage program utilizing VELERA project management standards; Manage utilizing Agile, Waterfall and other methodologies as required.
  • Work with project managers assigned to the program to identity, coordinate and manage project inter-dependencies such as resources, release dates, etc.
  • Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables; mentor others in project management practices; manage integration of team members’ work.
  • Use appropriate project management tools to track, analyze, and communicate plan against actual performance; Mitigate risks and gaps in performance.
  • Provide program level reporting which can include Status Report, Resource and Financial Plans, etc.
  • Coordinate completion of various integration elements of assigned projects, to include: project plan development and execution, and overall change control; develop project plans to include full project scope from initiation, planning, definition, verification, and change control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. PMP certification , or specialized certification, such as Black Belt Six Sigma, SDLC or InfoSec Security certification preferred . Agile certification preferred.
Experience

Seven (7) years related project management experience in information systems or financial services environment required. Experience is with software development, product cycles, and Agile development techniques required.

Experience in card payments, banking, contact center, new product development, information technology or process re-engineering preferred. Microsoft Project Server and Microsoft SharePoint experience preferred.

  • Strong planning, organization, leadership and problem solving skills and have the ability to negotiate with and influence others across all organizational levels
  • Ability to work with all levels of leadership both internally and externally, creating value and buy-in as a key change facilitator helping drive execution on our commitments
  • Adept in advanced communication skills and crafting clear and concise executive summaries to effectively convey complex program details to stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in project management, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software applications; Proficiency in Microsoft Project,  and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Ability to travel as needed, less than 25%

$95,800.00

to

$124,500.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
