Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support multiple Operating Groups on a wide range of people-related programs and initiatives across Ledcor. You will play a critical role in the execution of enterprise-wide HR projects and employee strategies. As a trusted partner to the senior business leaders, you will proactively build relationships, drive change management, and align HR strategies with business goals and objectives.

This role requires handling large portfolios for complex operating groups, addressing sensitive employee relations matters, workforce planning, and implementing new operating models. In this role, you will have the ability to influence decisions, drive results through data insights, and lead change initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

We are hiring two positions that can be based in either Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to anticipate and resolve complex people challenges by providing guidance on HR programs such as performance management, employee engagement, inclusion & diversity, and workforce planning.
  • Provide expert guidance on sensitive employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and implementation of new operating models or market entries.
  • Use your knowledge of employment laws to advise on complex workforce matters and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Manage employee data and provide insights to senior leaders, using analytics to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance employee experience and address key operational issues.
  • Engage proactively and partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Shared Services teams to ensure the seamless delivery of HR services, including recruitment, total rewards, and talent management.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives, providing guidance to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new operating models and processes.
  • Proactively engage with business leaders to build strong relationships, providing a high level of trust and credibility for the HR function.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of HRBP experience, with expertise in one or more HR COEs or Service Centre environments and prior proven business partnering experience within complex organizations.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and human rights legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong background in advising business leaders in a consultative and influential manner.
  • Proven ability to leverage data analytics to drive insights and support HR decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience managing change and implementing people strategies in medium to large, complex environments.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust with business leaders.
  • Change management certification would be an asset.

Work Conditions

  • 25% travel may be required, depending on business needs.
  • This is a hybrid position with a combination of work from home and our regional offices
