Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated HRIS and Compensation Manager to be an integral part of our Human Resources team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee HR data and systems, ensuring the smooth functioning of operations while playing a critical part in significant workforce planning, compensation, and compliance decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report on HR data and metrics from diverse sources to inform decisions related to workforce planning, compensation, and compliance.
  • Manage the organization's compensation programs, ensuring equitable and transparent practices across all levels.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to leadership, facilitating strategic decision-making.
  • Recommend policies and initiatives founded on data trends to enhance recruitment, retention, and the overall employee experience.
  • Assist in the formulation of classification and compensation structures while ensuring that job descriptions are precise and compliant with regulations.
  • Support the implementation of new procedures, programs, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Contribute to the team's mission by engaging in special projects, events, and community initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource and backup for other HR functions, including HRIS administration and payroll support.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with a passion for data analysis to identify trends and solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR operations, including compensation, hiring, and benefits.
  • Proficiency with relevant technologies such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, HRIS, and payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR analytics or related fields.
  • Experience in compensation and classification audits, benefits, and compliance is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HR practices in higher education is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Workday or similar systems is desirable.
