Construction Sealants Channel Manager-America (Remote)
Summary:
The Americas Construction Sealants Channel Manager is responsible for driving channel growth and optimizing distribution performance in the Construction Sealants business. This role focuses on strategic management of distributor relationships, market analysis, and execution of channel programs aligned with business objectives. The Channel Manager will identify new market opportunities, enhance system efficiencies, and develop strategies to penetrate and expand product presence. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including distributors and sales agents, will be key to executing planned initiatives and addressing market needs. This role reports directly to the AMR Regional Segment Leader-Construction Sealants.
This role will require up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities Include:
- Channel Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement top-level channel strategies that drive market share growth, expand distribution reach, and address current business gaps in alignment with broader business goals.
- Distributor Relationship Management: Manage and strengthen existing distributor relationships, providing strategic direction and guidance to align with market goals and optimize coverage locations.
- Market Insights and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market analysis, including customer segmentation, current sources of business, and identification of gaps in coverage. Recognize new opportunities for product penetration, market expansion, and roof coating opportunities.
- Growth Focus and System Efficiency: Pinpoint areas for growth and actions to improve system setup and efficiency, ensuring streamlined operations within the distribution network.
- New Channel Development: Own the development of new channels, including strategies around product attachment, promotion, and engagement with new customer segments.
- Collaboration with Distributors and Sales Agents: Work closely with distributors and sales agents to execute planned initiatives, drive targeted sales, and address training needs to enhance market effectiveness.
- Customer Retention and Feedback Loop: Establish a feedback loop with distributors to identify product issues, challenges, and barriers to customer retention. Use insights to inform product improvements and strategic adjustments.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Set clear KPIs, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports to stakeholders, focusing on continuous improvement and strategic adjustments.
- Promotions and Market Expansion Initiatives: Design and execute promotional strategies that support product penetration and drive growth within identified target areas.
- Training and Development Needs: Identify training needs among distributors and provide solutions to enhance their ability to represent and sell products effectively.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the North America regional distribution sales team, fostering a performance-driven culture while aligning team activities with channel strategy objectives.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in channel management, distribution strategy, or sales within the construction, sealants, or specialty chemicals industries.
Proven ability to develop and execute channel strategies that drive market growth and optimize distributor performance.
Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM systems like Salesforce for data-driven decision-making.
Excellent relationship management skills with a track record of successful distributor partnerships.
The following are preferred for the role
MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Familiarity with the Construction Sealants market or a closely related segment.
Experience in pricing strategy, contract management, and process optimization within a channel management context.

What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: $112,000 - $163,900
The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
