Job description

Position: Supply Chain Coordinator-New Graduate Opportunity

Primary Location: Toronto/Greater Toronto Area

Schedule: Hybrid work based out of our Toronto office (in-office approximately 1X per week)

Reports To: Supply Chain Leader

Compensation: CAD 70,000 - CAD 72,000 + bonus + benefits.

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.   The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.   Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process.  Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree or college level equivalent, preferably in supply chain, business, or operations management.
    • Recent graduates will be considered with 1-3 years of experience with logistics, procurement, supply chain, and finance will be considered an asset.
    • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities with advanced ability to use additional Microsoft Programs (including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams)
  • Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively across multiple departments and with multiple partners.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.  
  • Capability to balance a diverse workload, set priorities, and maintain flexibility when dealing with the unexpected.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to provide solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as efficient time management.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor finished goods inventories to determine products and timing for upcoming production schedules.
  • Update the production schedule by continuously monitoring and prioritizing add on orders, short lead-time orders, and fluctuations in demand and production issues.
  • Facilitate production schedule meetings to ensure personnel in the organization are working towards the same goal.
  • Routinely monitor and track slow moving or blocked inventories at the production sites
  • Communicate with internal partners regarding orders in jeopardy to meet customer demand requirements
  • Work with customer service regarding exceptions (supply/demand imbalances which prevent order fulfillment at distribution locations.
  • Other miscellaneous activities: work on issue resolution; identification of improvement opportunities; participate 
    on teams (quality teams, new product introduction teams, etc.).
  • Compare material inventory levels to the target levels to determine if stock transfer orders are needed.
  • Monitor add-on orders, fluctuations in demand and production issues that would require updating and prioritizing the replenishment schedule.
  • Communicate with internal partners orders in jeopardy that put a customer order or terminal replenishment at risk.
  • Work with customer service regarding exceptions (supply/demand imbalances which prevent order fulfillment at distribution locations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software and demonstrate a basic understanding of basic change management principles.

Keys to Success

  • Ability to create supply plans for complex scenarios and communicate those plans to all stakeholders. Compile inventory, inbound orders, customer orders, forecast, transit time data, and synthesize this information into a clear plan in Excel.  Communicate plans, risks, and solutions clearly through email and in meetings.
  • Ability to get to the root cause of problems and develop the appropriate solutions by asking the right questions to plant managers, suppliers, and truck/rail carriers.
  • Ability influence and build confidence with stakeholders.
