Overview

 

The Director of US Marketing—Melanoma, Opinion Leader Programming, will be responsible for developing and implementing promotional medical education strategies and tactics for AMTAGVI, the only FDA-approved T cell therapy for metastatic melanoma, in partnership with US Sales, Commercial Operations, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and other cross-functional partners. 

The ideal candidate is someone with experience supporting the launch of one of the 10 FDA-approved products for metastatic melanoma or with prior Cell Therapy Opinion Leader Programming experience. The candidate needs to have an entrepreneurial spirit and is looking for an opportunity to be part of the first-in-class launch of an innovative cell therapy for metastatic melanoma. The Director of US Marketing—Melanoma Opinion Leader Programming will report to the Senior Director of Marketing. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the Melanoma KOL engagement strategy and tactical execution 
  • Manage the medical communications agency and budget for branded melanoma educational tactics 
  • Develop and execute advisory board strategy, KOL mapping and engagement, and medical education promotional programming to educate HCPs and patients on AMTAGVI in melanoma 
  • Develop and manage the US promotional speaker bureau  
  • Develop and co-lead medical congress strategy and execution plans in partnership with cross-functional colleagues 
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to provide commercial perspective on publications, scientific communications, and real-world evidence/ HEOR data generation 
  • Partner with Business Analytics and Insights on market research to support HCP branded tactic development, market research, and competitive intelligence 
  • Ensures that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

Travel – 20%


Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

  • 8+ years of relevant marketing or related healthcare experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields  
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams or workgroups 
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to formulate, develop, and execute strategy 
  • Intellectually curious with the ability to process a great deal of information in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from various cultures and disciplines. 
  • Strong team player and motivated individual contributor 
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency 
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate orally and in writing. 

 

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

  • An advanced science degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable 
  • Experience in metastatic melanoma is highly preferred 
  • Cell Therapy experience is desirable  
  • Hospital sales or marketing experience is desirable
