Job description

Demand Planners are responsible for executing on demand planning activities associated with Motif SKUs. The Demand Planner will be part of a team responsible for translating customer forecasts into production demand, ensuring that operations and supply chain planning teams are prioritizing inventory build. The individual will incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, provincial board replenishment analysts, and other sources.

Position Overview: 
  • Oversee demand planning for new and existing products. Work with supply chain planning to prioritize demands based on constraints.  
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand forecast accuracy and demand forecasting drivers. 
  • Develops item, location, weekly forecasts for a 12-month rolling horizon using historical trends, customer intelligence and other demand drivers 
  • Demonstrate ownership of demand planning and management processes across the company 
  • Communicate the product inventory strategies (high runners, new products, substitutions, end life…) to the Supply Chain team 
  • Communicate demand changes and drivers in Supply Review and understand supply constraints and impact to demand/sales 
  • Main point of contact with provincial and medical business customers for order offers, order fulfillment, collaborative planning, and inventory management
  • Accountable for inventory management at provincial boards to ensure sufficient inventory to meet weekly demand and support any sales initiatives/programming
  • Responsible for identification, selection and implementation of continuous improvements initiatives to support demand planning accuracy  
  • Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner. 
  • Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply. 
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. 
  • Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy 
  • Drive automation improvements, support technology enhancements and new planning system implementations  
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. 
  • Report of forecasts and inventory KPIs. 
  • Drive convergences and divergences versus the Business Plan; and  
  • Other duties as assigned  
Qualifications:  
  • 2- 5 years experience in demand planning, big data modeling, analytics 
  • Skilled in effectively translating mathematical information into business-friendly language 
  • Experience managing and growing a team  
  • Knowledge in integrated supply chain systems 
  • Must possess business acumen relating to vision and purpose, strategic thinking and problem solving, and creative/innovative mindset 
  • Must be customer and market driven 
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications (particularly Excel)  
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft 365)  
This is a work from home position with the intention of working in the EST time zone.  Option to come to site and attend meetings and events are always extended and optional.
