Position Summary
The DevOps team is an essential part of the Software Technology Organization at Miovision, which supports the organization's infrastructure and continuous delivery requirements. We're currently looking for a Senior DevOps Developer to take ownership of ongoing development of tools, and infrastructure and lead AI/automation within Engineering. Your role on the DevOps team will include automating the software release process, automating manual data reporting processes, deploying containerized applications, improving security practices, increasing visibility of system health, supporting new infrastructure capabilities, ensuring reliability and scaling our product and evaluating the latest AI practices aim at improving overall Engineering productivity.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop high-quality systems from initial design/prototype phase to production; evaluate design trade-offs and long-term impact of immediate decisions
- Enable fast iteration through build, test, and deployment automation (CI/CD)
- Work with our development teams to implement improvements around scalability, security, performance, availability, and cost; recommend changes to existing systems, including new technologies and refactoring opportunities
- Work with other teams to ensure a consistent infrastructure across Miovision
- Drive AI and automation initiatives within the engineering team to enhance productivity and reduce manual efforts
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automated responses
- Stay updated with the latest AI and automation trends, tools, and technologies and apply them to improve engineering workflows
- Experience integrating security practices within the CI/CD pipeline
- Ensure compliance with governance standards (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers and developers in Engineering, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
- Document processes, systems, and configurations to ensure knowledge is retained and disseminated
Skills/Qualifications- 10+ years experience with the following:
- AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS
- Building, deploying and monitoring container-based applications (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Cloud infrastructure tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Designing cloud-native data pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- An understanding of relational database design and usage (SQL, Postgres, Snowflake)
- Knowledge of build and deployment tools (GitLab, CircleCI, Github, ArgoCD, etc.)
- Passion for continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), trunk-based development, and DevOps
- Software development experience with Java, Python, and Node
- In-depth knowledge of the following technologies:
- GitOps
- Datadog
- AWS (Specifically Networking)
- Telemetry (OpenTelemetry, Grafana etc)
- Gradle (Java & Kotlin)
- Argo (CD and Workflows)
Additional Assets - Familiarity with AI/ML operations (MLOps) and integrating machine learning models into DevOps workflows
- Knowledge of AI-based security practices and tools
- In-depth knowledge of the following technologies:
- GitOps
- Datadog
- AWS (Specifically Networking)
- Telemetry (OpenTelemetry, Grafana etc)
- Gradle (Java & Kotlin)
- Argo (CD and Workflows)
