On a typical day you will:

  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for a diverse employee base using ADP EV5. 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and guidelines 

  • Ensure payroll-related data from Company internal applications interfaces into the payroll system before payroll deadline. 

  • Accountable for documenting and maintaining global process blueprints, procedures, including local exceptions and changes. 

  • Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and accuracy within the payroll system. 

  • Focus on business process design, documentation, architecture including controls and policies. 

  • Provide assistance to team members and business partners as a payroll subject matter expert. 

  • Foster data quality by working with Transactions and Payroll teams and Finance field teams. 

  • Key point of contact for related audits conducted in the payroll area (both internal and external). 

  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, data protection assurance, conformity with Otis policies, procedures, external regulations, and agencies. 

  • Provide assistance to team members and business partners as a payroll subject matter expert. 

  • Focus on efficiency, quality and compliance of processes. 

  • Lead the development, implementation, and support of key process improvement efforts by utilizing proven continuous improvement operating systems.  

  • Ability to perform reporting and remittances such as month end, quarter end and year end payroll returns. 

  • Coach, lead or facilitate process improvement events (Value Stream Mapping, Relentless Root Cause Analysis, etc.)  

  • Coach individuals in key roles to develop proficiency in Continuous Improvement by leveraging formal training, improvement events, and mentoring.  

  • Regularly interacts with HR/HR Ops/TR customers in a Business facing capacity 

  • Support work groups in identifying root cause and problem-solving exercises, value stream mapping, evaluation of process robustness and generation of standard work. 

  • Act as a primary contact for Benefit related questions pertaining to but not limited to Savings Plans, Health and Welfare, and educational reimbursement programs 

  • Knowledge of IRS limits pertaining to Savings plans. 

  • Act as back up for Executive Payroll role, requiring familiarity of non-qualified and deferred compensation plan  

Required Qualifications:

  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for a diverse employee base using ADP EV5. 

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills. 

  • Familiar with SOX controls framework & auditing concepts 

  • Proven analytical and trouble-shooting skills, identify solutions to resolve simple to complex problem 

  • Advanced knowledge of country and localized payroll legislation  

  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, key business partners and team members. 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll for US. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/HR/Industrial engineering is a plus. 

  • English fluency required. 

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus completion within 1 year of hire. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Focus on high quality and the employee experience. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, show independence, adaptability and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy with strong attention to detail 

  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
