Job description

Here at Crown Paints we are looking for a Supply Chain Planner on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), who will focus on planning and procurement of finished products through the supply chain to achieve the required level of customer service. You'll also be liaising with other key areas of the business as well as having direct contact with external suppliers.

We are looking for a dedicated team-player with experience using SAP, who is skilled in using MS Office, particularly Excel. You must have great organisational and communication skills, and have ideally worked in a supply chain and manufacturing environment.

  • Constantly Challenging Business practices

Key responsibilities:

1.               Mastering data monitoring and maintenance (BoM’s, routings, vendor master, ICD lead times, distribution lead times)

2.               Ensuring that a valid MPS and Materials Plan exists with no past due orders.

3.               Re-style/Re-livery control of BoM’s and stocks to minimise stock write-offs etc.

4.               Co-ordinating Inventory accuracy of components (Cycle counting) to a level achieving 95% accuracy as a min.

5.               Liaising with Hull and Darwen planning to ensure availability of product (BOM components) in a timely manner to allow plan and schedule adherence to achieve 95% or greater.

6.               Liaising with production and scheduling to ensure finished product availability to achieve plan and schedule adherence above 95%.

7.               Liaising with Suppliers to ensure OTIF meets the requirements for Vendor Rating above 98.5%.

8.               Liaising with Demand Planning to review current forecasts, ensuring stock availability in a timely manner to meet customer needs.

9.               Liaising with DC Warehouses to ensure product is delivered on time to meet customer requirements.
