Job Overview

Join a prestigious real estate lending firm with a rich legacy spanning over 50 years. We are currently seeking a Private Lending Bookkeeper / Executive Assistant for a remote position that offers the flexibility of working from home one day a week following a successful 90-day trial period. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain precise financial records for lending entities and prepare reports for management oversight.
  • Execute monthly bank reconciliations across various accounts.
  • Generate 1099 and 1096 interest statements.
  • Process bank deposits primarily using desktop systems.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
  • Collaborate with team members on rent collection and manage defaults for foreclosed properties.
  • Update and manage the rent roll effectively.
  • Execute general office tasks, including both physical and digital file management.
  • Review and analyze credit reports.
  • Establish new client and loan files.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure provision of necessary documentation for loans.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and title professionals during loan processing.
  • Facilitate loan closings and funding procedures.
  • Record loans accurately in QuickBooks.
  • Process and log loan and interest payments.
  • Obtain property tax and utility records as needed.
  • Assist in preparing construction draws for approval and funds disbursement.
  • Work with construction inspectors to attain draw approvals.
  • Help manage foreclosure processes in conjunction with legal teams.
  • Prepare payoff letters and statements for completed loans.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is essential.
  • Strong mathematical skills and a background in accounting are necessary.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, scanner).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to meet strict deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in paralegal work or real estate is advantageous.
