With an internal team member career progression, we are hiring a Finance Business Partner - Hotel Operations to support our VIC/TAS State Managers, Operations Managers and Hotel Managers to provide insightful reporting and analysis to support the business in making key decisions, with team, guest and commercials in mind.

The Hotels Finance team are responsible for the finance and strategic leadership of a highly competitive 350+ Hotels business. To be successful, the team focuses on partnering with the business to drive optimal business performance whilst maintaining an objective viewpoint and strong financial control framework. This role is required to partner with the ALH Operations team and other key stakeholders to support and provide financial performance reporting to improve the performance of ALH’s hotel network. 

In this role, you will work with multiple stakeholders, providing commercial support and guidance through your strong data driven analytical skills and business partnering capability.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

 

  • Lead and deliver outcomes for key finance projects that improve both our financial and operational ways of working and metrics.  
  • Support the Hotel Operations and Business Planning teams with month end, forecast and budget processes, as well as ad hoc requests to understand financials and identify efficiencies across our network of Hotels.  
  • Support the implementation of an improved Hotel reporting framework and alignment of reporting and processes. 
  • Partner with other key stakeholders including the Hotels Business Planning and Analysis team, Hotels Commercial Finance, Endeavour Format finance team and the Endeavour Capital team to understand financial performance and track business initiatives.  
  • Prepare Capital Expenditure investment business cases with both Hotel Operations and Hotels Commercial Finance and undertake insightful post implementation reviews  
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, always seeking to promote efficiency and ways to do things better, within the immediate team and across the business. 

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you

  • A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience, with Operations experience desired 
  • CPA / CA / CIMA Qualification
  • Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Tableau, Powerpoint 
  • An ability and passion to work with teams outside of finance to deliver great end to end outcomes 
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability in building strong relationships with stakeholders and exert influence to deliver on commitments 
  • Ability to plan and coordinate reporting and project timetables, and deliver on multiple work streams
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple 
  • Sound organisational and effective time management skills, can handle pressure and manage expectations whilst servicing people from across different departments 
  • Hotels / Hospitality/Gaming experience (desirable)
  • Google suite experience (desirable)
  • Desire for ongoing continuous improvement and process excellence
  • Desire to be part of the exciting and energetic Drinks industry
