Job description

This is a remote position.


Scope:

  • Work 40 hours per week in Ruston, Louisiana Time, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM schedule

  • Initially manage bookkeeping for a forestry services company, with potential to expand to three additional business entities

  • Potential for flexible hours as the role develops

  • Opportunity to contribute to the growth and financial strategy of multiple businesses

Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookkeeping for multiple business entities, focusing on a $30M annual cash flow forestry services company

  • Process weekly payments to loggers, landowners, and drivers

  • Reconcile transactions and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online

  • Prepare and send invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable

  • Assist with payroll processing

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Support tax preparation by organizing and providing necessary financial data

  • Adapt bookkeeping processes to meet the unique needs of each business entity

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper, preferably in multiple industries

  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Familiarity with forestry or real estate industries is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving business needs

  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with business owners and external stakeholders
