Your Job:
As the Senior Digital Operations Engineer, you will define and implement delivery and deployment infrastructure for Brooks' digital offerings, grounded in security and accessibility standards. You will resolve technical conflicts during development, mitigate production support issues, and ensure data flow between integrated systems. You will implement continuous improvement and IaC processes, optimize stability and performance in production and test environments, and play a role in Brooks IT and Digital Innovation initiatives. As a subject matter expert on the Digital Operations team, you will mentor engineers, contribute to technical leadership rallies, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to accomplish robust business objectives. You will join a small team dedicated to implementing DevOps best practices in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, reducing friction and improving efficiency with each managed change.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement coordinated integrations across the system architectureEstablish security and accessibility technical compliance in concert with IT and governance proceduresEvaluate technical capabilities of new and existing systems, and make recommendations for future growthDevelop CI and IaC platforms to manage improvement deliveryLead technical response to production support incidentsPartner with vendors to ensure that integrated solutions are highly performant, well-maintained, and supportedBuild robust deployment pipelines with test automation and ensure code quality maintenanceCoordinate with development, QA, IT, and business partners to drive successful implementation of business initiativesMaintain non-production environments and resolve development conflictsMentor and coach team members on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologiesQualificationsBS in CS, IT, Systems Administration, Network Operations or combination of equivalent certifications, work, and/or military experience5+ years of experience in software development, QA, IT, or related fields2+ years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD and IaC methodologies, and associated tools (Git, AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker)Demonstrated experience with eCommerce platforms required Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience highly preferredJavaScript and one of bash or PowerShell required, Python, Java desired Extensive experience optimizing cloud-based code and version control; GitHub experience preferredExperience managing multiple cloud-based integrations and reconciling system conflictsExperience with security and accessibility compliance across the development and production lifecycleExperience with automated deployment testing and shift-left mindsetExperience with implementing and improving Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Lean (Kanban); Atlassian experience preferred (Jira, Confluence)Passionate about DevOps transformation with experience in evangelizing culture changeStrong team-oriented bias and communication skills between technical and non-technical resources, with exceptional documentation diligence and a commitment to effective knowledge transferAble to engage during off-hours and on-call as needed by major incident remediation processCompensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,493 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,680 per year in our highest geographic market. Base pay offered will consider the specific geographic market and will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
