The Opportunity

This role is responsible for performing financial and budget analyses for assigned business lines including the administration of the QBE forecasting tool, evaluating financial data, and performing trend analysis.  You will also be reponsible for providing analysis of the budget to actual variance for assigned line(s) of business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the budgeting and forecasting tool for assigned line(s) of business
•Prepare variance analysis of budget to actual incorporating objective financial analysis.
•Enhance reforecasting tools for current business plans to incorporate sensitivity analysis, contingency plans and the integration of capital plans
•Deliver timely and accurate financial data by developing various models and reports, analyzing and communicating results, responding to complex financial issues and providing best practice solutions to assist with company direction and decision-making
•Guide readiness of processes, systems and data for an effective planning process
•Optimize operations of assigned business unit/s by analyzing business results and plans to identify future needs and develop & implement process enhancements to increase short- and long-term departmental efficiencies
•Develop knowledgeable recommendations that aide senior leadership in decision making by serving as a functional and technical expert and analyzing financial performance to align budget guidelines and strategies with business requirements
•Provide quality service by communicating with internal customers to address financial and budget practice questions, issues and concerns and ensure understanding of program components
•Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value “can do” people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

• 4 years relevant experience

• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
•Advanced working knowledge of budget financial analysis and financial modeling
•In-depth knowledge of financial operations
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation

Base pay offered will vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location and business needs

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000
