Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director of Finance – Corporate Shared Services (Remote)
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: Remote in approved work state. (listed at the end of the posting)
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Position Summary:
Provides leadership through financial analysis, management and decision support to assigned areas. Leads and coordinates financial management with the Vice President, division Finance, President/Administrator and finance support staff at Corporate. As an essential member of the divisions Senior Leadership Team, provides management input to improve/maintain performance of Sentara.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a Finance partner to Corporate Shared Services leaders in identification of cost opportunities as well as strategic initiatives for the division.
  • Responsible for daily financial tasks, financial planning and analysis, oversight of business case development and capital planning and tracking for division.
  • Leads review of department level financials and productivity and provides guidance to operational leaders to drive improvement.
  • Collaborates with cross-department/cross-divisional teams to achieve goals
  • Responsible for providing finance support to for other corporate duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of Finance Education trainings system wide.
  • Implementation and management of accounting policies and internal control standards.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Level Degree Required
  • Master's degree, MHA/MBA preferred
  • 8 years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • CPA required, professional finance certifications may be considered in lieu of CPA

For applicants within Washington State and Maryland, the following hiring range will be applied:
$166,530.00 - $191,493.12 annually.
