The billing group in fintech is responsible for all the orchestration and business needs that happen after a customer has gone through the buying motion for our products. The staff software engineer will work on the subscriptions platform team which is the core system of fintech that maintains customers subscriptions and ensures it is in the right state to be billed and provisioned for usage accordingly. You will help improve the usability and scalability of the platform to meet hubspot’s growth needs for both internal and external customers and also design/implement new features.
We are looking for a staff engineer who has identified and delivered projects with meaningful business and/or technical impact at the product group level. This candidate should have a clear history of solving hard, impactful problems with little guidance. They move across domains effortlessly, challenging conventions and what is possible by reexamining constraints. They are trusted with complex business and technical challenges that require collaboration, technical mastery, and technical leadership. They should have a significant impact on the success and technical strategy of any team they are part of. Additionally, they are often asked to move into an unknown area and quickly make progress. They work in concert with leadership to identify and define large, impactful initiatives that they will drive.
Cash compensation range: 218900-328400 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
