Gilbane Building Company is growing our VDC Department and we will be looking for VDC professionals across the country throughout 2024 and 2025. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you to explore options available now and in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the project partners to manage the production of Model Based Submittals
- Collect comprehensive building models, examine for conflicts, document, assign and help determine how to manage change and development
- Create & manage project documentation
- Communicate with trade contractors on coordination progress and host working sessions
- Interact with coordination model and diagram design changes
- Create and process Revit models
- Participate in business unit office activities including orientation program, training sessions and peer group meetings
- Integrate reality capture tools and methods to stay informed of field activities
- Support one VDC deliverable at a time under close supervision
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- BA/BS/MS degree in Architecture, Engineering or BIM related specialties
- 0+ years of VDC Coordination experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management and analytical skills
- Functional use of BIM and design software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, In-design)
- Basic understanding of construction documentation
- Curiosity of design concepts and integrated building components and systems
- Leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Positive attitude
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Chicago, IL this ranges from $73,900.00 - $101,600.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Arlington, Va and Boston, MA this ranges from $78,600.00 - $108,100.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For New York, NY and San Jose, CA this ranges from $86,000.00 - $118,300.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
