HCIT Applications Specialist

Summary:

The Applications Specialist is responsible for delivering training to customers on the use of PACS and RIS. Additionally, this position is responsible for documenting and recreating PACS and RIS workflows then training the customers on their custom workflow.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Deliver training to customers on site or in company facility.
• Work with customers to determine the issue with software and computing platforms and apply the correct solution to fix the problem.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Respond to training calls when requested in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
• Maintain documentation by entering information into system for tracking, ordering, returns, service parts, and warranty repair.

Qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications (Education, Specialized Skills, Abilities & Experience)

College degree and /or 4 years experience in a related area:
•    Prior knowledge/experience working with medical software such as PACS or RIS 
•    Familiarity with the Medical Imaging Workflow 
•    Prior application training experience 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact with a variety of customers in a professional manner 
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
•    Proven organizational capabilities and leadership experience 
•    Capability to produce well written and detailed documentation
•    Prior radiology clinical experience  
•    Advanced knowledge of how systems are utilized within the context of the Network and how supported applications interact with other supported applications.
•    Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. 

Desired Skills 
•    Dragon Medical or voice recognition experience
•    Radiology Technologist 
•    RIS experience
•    HL7 experience
•    Ability to troubleshoot DICOM Communication and DICOM Modality Worklists
•    Demonstrated ability to test and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces
