VIQ Solutions, a pioneer in transcription services for legal and judicial sectors, is seeking skilled Legal/Judicial transcription professionals to join our team as Independent Contractors. This fully remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while efficiently managing your time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and various judicial proceedings.
  • Process audio recordings with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with established style guides for verbatim transcripts.
  • Engage with advanced transcription technology to enhance workflow efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in court reporting, legal transcription, or scoping is essential.
  • Exceptional listening abilities and adherence to deadlines as well as client-specific style guides.
  • High-level literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar proficiency.
  • Strong typing speed and accuracy, with the capacity to handle sensitive audio/text content.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is a must.
  • Court reporting students are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in legal transcription or related fields.
  • Ability to pass a background check is required.
