Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee mortgage origination and guide a team of mortgage loan officers.
  • Act as a representative of the organization within the community to promote the strategic growth of the Real Estate department.
  • Build and nurture business relationships to enhance the pipeline for the Real Estate lending team.
  • Advocate for and support homeownership across diverse market segments.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Federal, State, and secondary market regulations, including Fannie Mae and FHA/VA.
  • Collaborate with members, internal staff, external vendors, and real estate agents, concentrating on marketing, compliance, and training.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Quality Control, Compliance, and Mortgage Operations to fulfill departmental objectives.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership abilities and negotiation skills.
  • Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with effective prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of secondary market guidelines, including automated underwriting.
  • Proficiency in communication and relationship-building.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferable.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in mortgage origination coupled with business development or sales expertise.
  • At least three years of leadership experience in managing and mentoring team members.
