Controller - Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and execution of an efficient month-end closing procedure to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting to maintain the organization’s financial wellness.
  • Formulate and oversee budgets and annual plans that support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP across all accounting processes.
  • Recognize and implement improvements in current accounting methodologies.
  • Prepare trend analyses, financial models, and research to guide strategic choices.
  • Establish and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to facilitate data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with leadership to tackle and resolve business challenges.
  • Supervise tax preparation and compliance.
  • Manage special projects and reporting requirements as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
  • At least four years of relevant experience, particularly in multi-entity, financial services, or technology sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Capability to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, deadline-centric setting.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting required.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience preferred in multi-entity, financial services, or technology industries.
