Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join our prestigious legal team in New York, specializing in General Litigation and Professional Liability. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in a wide range of legal matters, such as professional liability, coverage, cyber risks, general liability, first-party property, and construction. The position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, offering both remote and in-office flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload encompassing professional liability, coverage, and construction-related issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, written discovery, motions, and other litigation materials.
  • Conduct depositions and engage with clients and insurance carriers effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with a supervising partner on case management and strategy.

Required Skills

  • Active license to practice law in New York; additional licensure in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 6 years of civil litigation experience, including drafting and case management.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy competencies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and presentation capabilities.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing complex legal matters and delivering high-quality work.
  • A proactive mindset and readiness to take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Experience in mediations and arbitrations is a beneficial asset.
