Job Description:

To fully develop the assigned Group Market Segment within a specified geographic territory or vertical market segments concentrating on the solicitation of new profitable business.

 To merchandise as skillfully as possible the guest rooms and function space to maximize revenue potential for the hotel and to ensure that the customer has the best possible meeting experience.

To achieve monthly room night goals, develop and implement sales action plans, maintain positive interdepartmental communications and to complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing  

Responsibilities:
  • Drive top line revenue for hotel by achieving budgeted room night and rate revenue goals
  • Merchandise function space to maximize food and beverage revenue potential
  • Prospect, solicit and develop relationships and accounts within assigned market segment
  • Thoroughly qualify and present business opportunities to Sales Team
  • Create custom proposals and answer RFPs in a timely manner
  • Conduct site inspections by curating personalized experiences for prospective clients
  • Assist in design and organization of unique client events, sharing creative and innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with Omni Hotels & Resorts Global Sales Team
  • Participate in daily business review meetings, monthly sales meetings and various trainings as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Expertly negotiate sales agreements
  • Mentor junior team members in preparation for professional growth
Qualifications:
  • Achieve monthly room night bookings goals.
  • Solicit accounts within assigned market segment utilizing database supplied from resources including MPI, PASAE, PCMA, RCMA.
  • Prospect and develop new accounts in line with the hotel's stated Mission Statement.
  • Maintain aggressive weekly telephone, site inspection and sales apointment goals.
  • Use all prospect sources as laid out in the Time Management Section of the Sales Action Plan.
  • Follow up promptly (same day) on leads generated by the National Sales offices.
  • Active involvement in industry association and trade shows.
  • Achieve budgeted room rate and revenues.
  • In knowledgeable of the subtleties inherent in the assigned market segment and of the role it plays in maintaining the profitability of the hotel.
  • Participate in development of direct mail and all promotions related to the market segment needs.
  • Is current with all market-related publications in order to stay on top of all industry trends and uncover any potential leads.
  • Achieve targeted Flip Lead goals for all Omni Hotels.
  • Monitor Reader Boards of competition for potential sources of new group business.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Is fully aware of corporate sponsored promotions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Sales Action Plan (KRA's).
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales reports on a timely basis.
  • Maintain all files with current trace dated, accurate histories and all relevant information regarding booking activity.
  • Participate in the ongoing forecasting process.
  • Is current and abides by all sales office procedures and systems.
  • Participate in weekly marketing and rooms merchandising meetings, bi-weekly sales meetings and monthly forecast meetings as assigned by the Director of Sales & Mktg.
  • Attend weekly forecast meetings whenever Sales Manager's groups are due to arrive the following week.
  • Promote a high quality company image by demonstrating professionalism to both clients and colleagues.
  • Recommend improvement of facilities and services as needed.
