Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Contract Aviation Safety Inspector Instructor to deliver training within the Safety and Compliance PAW program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aviation operations and federal regulations, along with the ability to engage and instruct adult learners effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and facilitate training sessions on aviation safety and compliance topics for a diverse audience of adult learners.
- Develop and deliver clear, engaging presentations and instructional materials, ensuring complex information is simplified for better understanding.
- Utilize principles and methods of adult education to create an interactive and stimulating learning environment.
- Plan and manage training activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines.
- Foster discussions and encourage participation to enhance the learning experience.
- Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to prepare documents, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct training sessions both in-person and virtually using platforms such as Adobe Connect and Zoom.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in aircraft operations within the aviation industry, within the last eight years.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working with federal laws, regulations, and policies governing aviation activities.
- Knowledge of the FAA Compliance Philosophy and Flight Standards Service Compliance Policy.
- Understanding of aviation safety inspection principles.
- Familiarity with adult education and training methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to instruct adults with varied backgrounds and experience levels in complex subjects.
- Proficiency in managing time effectively and meeting deadlines in a classroom setting.
- Experience conducting virtual training using Adobe Connect and Zoom is a plus.
