Job Description
We are seeking a BIM Coordinator-Bentley Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Bentley software platforms, including OpenRail, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, and ProStructures, with optional knowledge of ProjectWise, Navisworks, and iTwin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modeling Strategy: Define with the BIM Manager and discipline leaders the roadmap for a content base production, how to use the tools to achieve what Aztec is looking for.
- Modeling Support: Provide troubleshooting and modeling support to BIM modelers, ensuring effective use of Bentley software.
- Template and Component Creation/Support: Develop and manage templates, libraries, components, and families in Bentley OpenRail, OpenRoads, OpenBridge and Pro Structures.
- Interoperability Support: Test and support the interoperability between Bentley platforms and Civil 3D, ensuring accurate exports to interoperable formats.
- BIM Methodology Support: Support BIM methodologies, focusing on model-based design, LOD requirements, and compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
- DataSource and Workspace Setup: Knowledge of set up and manage the datasource and workspace environment for modeling, ensuring all configurations align with project requirements.
- Coordination: Assist in coordinating with multiple disciplines, including Track, Overhead catenary system, civil and structural teams, to ensure alignment and integration of models.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Leverage strong communication skills and a problem-solving approach to effectively support project teams and resolve issues.
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Experience: Proven experience in modeling using Bentley software, particularly in large infrastructure rail projects.
- Education: Demonstrated experience in Bentley software is required; formal education is not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong understanding of linear BIM projects, with the ability to create and manage project-specific templates and components. Familiarity with BIM methodologies, LOD, and ISO 19650 is essential.
- Soft Skills: Enthusiastic, willing to learn, with excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Preferred Experience: Experience coordinating teams and managing workflows across disciplines
- Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier

Working Conditions and Environment:
This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally, uses advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment.
