We invite a motivated and creative Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Prescriber to join our expanding team. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, encompassing medical history, mental status evaluations, and the assessment of psychosocial factors.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment strategies utilizing evidence-based approaches, including psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy.
  • Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, ensuring their effectiveness and making necessary modifications.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and supportive counseling, tailored to each patient’s requirements.
  • Handle psychiatric crises and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health, treatment alternatives, and community resources while advocating for their rights.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Continue professional growth by staying updated with advancements in psychiatric nursing through ongoing education.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active licensure in the state of Virginia.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with adolescents or adults facing mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, or mood disorders.
  • Certification from MSN or DNP programs and relevant state licensure.
