Job description

YOUR ROLE
As a Senior QA Specialist at PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions, you will set the quality assurance strategy for our projects. Your role extends beyond simply identifying bugs; it involves fostering a culture of quality from inception to release. You will ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and adhere to our quality standards. By working closely with the development teams, you will co-design and implement the necessary processes and tools to achieve these goals.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a champion for quality across all development teams, fostering a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.
  • Collaborate with team leads to design and implement advanced automated testing frameworks and bug-tracking workflows, streamlining bug detection, regression prevention, and issue resolution to enhance QA efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a detailed test and deployment strategy, optimizing the entire quality assurance lifecycle from initial testing phases to final release.
  • Oversee quality control measures, signing off on product quality at critical milestones. Design, track and report on QA metrics to assess effectiveness and drive data-driven improvements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication about test statuses, fostering transparency and continuous improvement. Regularly engage with stakeholders to align QA objectives with business goals and user expectations.
  • Coordinate an external QA team, ensuring their activities are seamlessly integrated with internal processes through effective oversight and communication.
YOUR PROFILE
  • You have been through a full delivery cycle of a project, gaining experience and developing ideas on how to improve testing in a small studio.
  • You have a strong understanding of the importance of communication. You can liaise with the team and assist in creating and maintaining QA processes with external partners.
  • You are familiar with common development and QA tools, and you can manage the development of these tools and set up a full testing pipeline.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
  • Practical experience using a variety of modern game engines and tools.
  • Knowledge of UX principles and testing methodologies to ensure the game not only meets technical quality standards but also delivers a superior user experience.
