Job description

This is a remote position.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

To satisfy the needs of our growing data management function, the Client is looking to hire a QA Engineer to join our Enterprise Data team. The Enterprise Data team is responsible for developing new processes, assisting with the deployment of the Client’s Data Fabric, and establishing best practices for Data Management. Our knowledgeable team is actively involved in special projects and initiatives with all departments including investments, fin-tech, analytics, business development, and relationship management. 
Requirements


  • Build and maintain data QA processes for the Client’s Data Fabric. 
  • Establish best practices as it relates to data quality in an enterprise-wide data warehouse. 
  • Work with Data Engineers to ensure complete and accurate data is provided to the business users within the Client’s Data Fabric. 
  • Develop and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources 
  • Work with Data Engineers to evaluate and approve changes in the Client’s Data Fabric. 
  • Design and conduct analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps. 
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively about the private market asset class.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience: 

  • BA/BS in related field (e.g., business/finance/engineering/information technology/mathematics/physical sciences) 
  • 1-2 years of work experience in the financial services industry preferred  
  • 1 year of experience building data QA processes, financial services organization a plus 
  • Comfort and familiarity with large data sets, star schema databases, reporting and query tools 
  • Must have experience with Azure and Azure Synapse Analytics, or comparable tools within AWS or GCP 
  • Must be proficient in one query language (e.g. T-SQL) 
  • Familiarity with star schema data models 
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and possess good analytical skills 
  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments/initiatives 
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
