Job description

Salary: P100,000 to P110,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (04:00 AM - 01:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

Proven experience as a Lead QA Engineer or similar role
Strong proficiency in automated testing using Playwright and Jest
Experience with manual testing techniques and best practices
Familiarity with Salesforce, Jira, and Postman, React, Nextjs, Gitlab, express, typescript
Excellent bug reporting and documentation skills
Ability to understand and contribute to product requirements and specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Have:

Preferred leadership experience within a design team or similar environment
Knowledgeable with ticketing tools

What will you do?

Develop and execute automated tests using Playwright and Jest for our app components (65-70% of testing efforts)
Perform manual testing for new features and critical functionalities (30-35% of testing efforts)
Perform targeted refactors if necessary for the implementation of automated tests
Create detailed bug tickets for engineering using Jira, including thorough research and reproduction steps
Identify and document happy paths for new features to ensure comprehensive testing coverage
Update and maintain testing suites to cover newly discovered issues and prevent regression
Work with Jira to track and manage testing efforts and bug reports
Use Postman for API testing and ensuring backend functionality
Collaborate with the product team to understand feature requirements and identify potential edge cases
Validate new happy paths before deployment and add automated tests to cover them
Troubleshoot and fix broken or flaky tests that may be blocking deployments
Drive process improvements in our QA practices and testing methodologies
Experienced Tester: You have lead-level experience in QA engineering, with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.
Technical Expert: You're proficient with Playwright, Jest, Gitlab, React, Nextjs, express, and Postman. Experience with Salesforce and Jira is a plus.
Problem Solver: You can research and reproduce bugs efficiently, creating detailed and actionable tickets for the engineering team.
Strategic Thinker: You can identify critical happy paths for new features and design comprehensive test plans.
Communicator: You can effectively relay issues to stakeholders and work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
Self-Starter: As the sole QA engineer, you're comfortable taking initiative and driving the testing strategy for the entire company.
Continuous Learner: You stay updated with the latest testing methodologies and are always looking for ways to improve our QA processes.
Detail-Oriented: You have a keen eye for spotting inconsistencies and potential issues in software behavior.
