Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly accountable, organized Analytics Engineer with automation focus to join our License Compliance Analytics (LCA) team. Our team plays a essential part within the larger Global License Compliance organization to detect and address non-compliant use of Autodesk's software.

In this role, your focus is in two areas: process automation and data discovery. You will automate processes in analytics to increase their efficiency and you will deliver projects to effectively parse/extract data from internal and external sources. The sources will include data warehouses, web pages and other structured and unstructured data. You will collaborate closely with business analysts in necessary data discoveries to understand the nature and potential of new large datasets. This requires a broad expertise in data parsing and automation tools as well as a good understanding of the needs of business and analytics teams.

You will collaborate with your peers in Analytics Engineering, the Business Analytics team in LCA as well as other data and analytics teams. This position reports to the Manager Analytics Engineering in LCA.

This position is hybrid. At Autodesk, we have a hybrid-first culture, which gives you flexibility to alternate between working remotely and coming to the Krakow office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automated extraction and parsing processes from structured and unstructured, internal and external data sources.
  • Support LCA's Business Analysts by automating recurring manual steps in their processes.
  • Collaborate with LCA team members in project-related data discoveries, with the goal of understanding its business potential.
  • Within Business Analytics projects, understand the structure of new, large data sources; develop relevant transformations as preparation for focused analysis. Support the team to understand the underlying structure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with Python as well as similar programming languages and parsing/scraping tools
  • Proven experience with successfully implemented automation projects in a business process environment
  • 2+ years experience writing advanced SQL statements to query and transform data, using cloud-based data warehouse services like Snowflake.
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience with understanding business requirements from functions like sales, marketing and business analytics
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with communicating successfully across different, international teams
  • experience with data transformation tools such as Alteryx, dbt / Airflow is a plus
