Penguin Random House has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable, collaborative and data-driven online advertising specialist to join our innovative Retail Advertising team. Sitting within the wider Online & Digital Sales team, the Manager, Retail Advertising will help implement our Amazon advertising strategy by planning, initiating and optimizing campaigns that creatively leverage Amazon’s PPC advertising platform to generate profitable sales for titles across the full Penguin Random House list.  The role will also involve serving as a liaison with key stakeholders at the Divisional level, working closely with marketing contacts to plan strategic campaigns aimed at specific goals, communicating results and critically reviewing outcomes to help inform future strategy.

Responsibilities: 

  • Serves as a representative on a dynamic team responsible for delivering the end-to-end planning, execution and optimization of Amazon Advertising campaigns. 
  • Collaborates on the development and optimization of our Amazon Advertising strategy, with a focus on profitable sales and product discoverability.  
  • Researches, tests and implements Amazon Advertising best practices across the full suite of Amazon Advertising products. 
  • Understands Amazon search term insights and applies these to campaign strategy.  
  • Assesses detailed advertising data to inform campaign management. 
  • Defines relevant KPIs and performance tracking frameworks. 
  • Serves as a contact for key business stakeholders to field queries, and prepares and presents relevant reports to convey results and insights. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Amazon Advertising and/or broader digital marketing with a focus on measurable outcomes 
  • Interest in and in-depth knowledge of search insights, PPC advertising, and the online book marketplace  
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team  
  • A critical thinker with a proven ability to analyze, interpret and leverage complex data using different reporting tools and platforms to identify trends, opportunities and influence decisions  
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize, especially when working on competing priorities  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfort working within Excel is a plus  
  • Ability to adapt to fluid and/or changing processes  

 

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $73,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.

The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
