Stoneridge Software is looking for an empathetic and goal-oriented People Business Partner to effectively partner with leaders throughout our organization to foster team member engagement, development, diversity, policy, compensation, and performance management initiatives that grow our people capabilities. The People Business Partner will serve as a first point of contact for all people-related matters throughout the entire team member journey at Stoneridge Software. This key people team contributor will support successful outcomes by consulting and providing continuous HR guidance that is aligned to our people engagement goals, team member satisfaction, and key business results. The People Business Partner will offer strategic, creative, value-add improvements and compliant solutions that help us scale and retain our best-in-class team in a fast-paced environment.


A Day in the Life
  • People Plan: Collaborate with business leaders to align people initiatives with business goals, focusing on talent management, leadership, diversity, and culture
  • Work closely with other People Business Partners for all people programs
  • Partner with Total Rewards Manager to help manage compensation structures, benefits programs, and ensure competitive and fair compensation practices
  • Partner with Team Member Experience Team Manager to develop strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Display proficiency in managing HR projects and taking on additional tasks and initiatives that support the organization’s goals

  • Organizational Engagement and Diagnostics: Use data and insights to diagnose and recommend improvements in talent management, compensation, and organizational risks
  • Manage all Employee Relations matters: address and resolve workplace conflicts, mediate conflicts and disputes, conduct investigations, and foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement
  • Effectively utilize HR Metrics and reporting, collect and analyze data to track key performance indicators, make and provide insights for decision-making, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement
  • Utilize UKG and other technology tools for efficient HR processes and data management

  • Strategic Talent Management: Predict and address talent needs and develop strategies for talent development
  • Identify and nurture talent within the organization for key leadership positions 
  • Develop and drive talent management programs including career development, career pathing, role definition and succession planning
  • Conduct trainings for team discoveries, relationship guides, project team discoveries and ad hoc requests for Predictive Index

  • Change Management: Lead change initiatives, develop change management plans, and ensure smooth adaptation to new structures and processes
  • Lead change initiatives, communicate changes effectively, and help employees adapt to new processes or structures as it related to the People Team changes as well as organizational or team changes

  • Leadership & Team Performance: Monitor leadership performance, design interventions to improve team capabilities, and coach leaders to drive organizational change
  • Oversee Performance Management by implementing and overseeing performance processes for clients, including goal setting, feedback, coaching, performance development plans, and performance improvement plans
  • Provide guidance and consultation to leadership and managers, including coaching and mentoring

  • Compliance & Culture Ambassador: Role model core values and behaviors
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with relevant employment labor laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance and partner with outside legal counsel as needed for annual team member handbook review, immigration with updates and policy changes 
  • Promote DEIB within the organization through policies, programs, and initiatives
  • Handle sensitive information with strict confidence and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Foster and champion psychological safety and a positive team environment

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven work experience as an HR Business Partner (HRBP)
  • Strong knowledge of performance, employee relations, compensation, and people metrics and reporting
  • Proven experience to effectively collaborate, grow partnerships within the business, and influence people decisions
  • Experience with create and scaling people programs
  • Possess a deep understanding of U.S. employment practices and thorough knowledge of labor legislation
  • Ability to be a change agent, adapt to change with a positive mindset, and coach others as appropriate
  • Adept in influencing to drive culture-first people practices
  • Experience with monthly pulse checks and/or employee engagement surveys
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English
  • Ability to meet in person for People team and/or company meetings 1-2 times per year
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
  • Global HR experience preferred – Canada and Latin America
  • UKG HRIS experience preferred

    Work Location: This position is available on a REMOTE basis in the United States or REMOTE in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan).

  • Our philosophy is to provide compensation that is Competitive, Equitable, and Driven by Performance.  Various factors impact our pay ranges including market conditions and national salary data. To determine competitive salaries within this range we consider candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. These are national ranges, inclusive of bonus opportunities and could represent multiple role levels.

  • US (USD): $106,900-$142,300
    Canada (CAD): C$86,500-C$122,400
