Overview
The SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) consultant plays a crucial role in the organization by implementing, maintaining, and supporting the SAP FICO modules. They are responsible for overseeing financial processes, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree or Master’s in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, MBA (Finance or equivalent) or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a FICO Lead Consultant in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, including configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules.
• Proven experience leading full-cycle SAP FICO implementation projects, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
• Expert understanding of Interfaces, IDocs, eDocument.
• Should be able to read and debug ABAP program.
• Good understanding of SAP PS (Project System), FI-MM and FI-SD integration.
• Good understanding of COPA.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
• SAP certification(s) in FICO modules is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end SAP FICO Support projects, including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring systems, and overseeing testing and deployment.
• Provide expert guidance and support for SAP FICO module enhancements, upgrades, and integrations with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for all FICO-related issues, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer sessions to empower end-users and support teams.
• Responsible for timely project deliverables of a team of 10+ FICO consultants.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand financial processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend SAP FICO solutions.
• Stay current with SAP best practices, industry trends, and upcoming releases to recommend innovative solutions.
Business Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Understanding of business processes for focus area or module.
• Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks.
• Strong analytical skills.
