Your missions

Who we are
About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Our AUNZ Marketing team's mission is to engage priority audiences through impactful and relevant marketing programs and events, in order to drive growth in the adoption of Stripe's solution offerings. Marketing is a sales-aligned team, partnering closely with the Go To Market organisation, which includes Sales, Sales Development, Solutions Architects, Partnerships, and others. Our team works across all customer segments and at each stage of the customer lifecycle journey. As a member of the AUNZ team, this is a great opportunity to build and have an impact on the business.

What you’ll do

You’ll be part of the AUNZ Marketing team and be responsible for planning, managing, and executing virtual and in-person field events, including third party conferences and trade shows and Stripe lead workshops and online events. This role requires a creative problem solver with a passion for project management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally within the company.

Responsibilities
  • Field event planning: Develop and manage the annual event calendar, aligning events with the company’s marketing strategy and goals.
  • Field event execution: Oversee end-to-end event management, including logistics, venue coordination, virtual event platforms, vendor management, and on-site/online execution.
  • Budget Management: Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning while maintaining high standards of execution within designated budgets.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the product, sales, professional services and customer success teams to align event content and goals with business objectives.
  • Lead Generation: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create events that generate qualified leads, boost brand awareness, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Brand Representation: Ensure all events reflect the company's branding and messaging while creating a memorable experience for attendees.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors, including event production, catering and A/V to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event reporting, gathering insights and data to evaluate event success and inform future event strategies.

Who you are

We’re looking for an experienced field and event marketer who is looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic and fast growing company in an exciting category. Stripe values results orientated, users first, macro-optimistic and curious individuals who really, really, really care.  If that sounds like you and you meet the following requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience managing both in-person and virtual events, preferably in the software or technology industry.
  • Proven track record of executing large-scale corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
  • Experience with event management platforms (e.g., Splash, Zoom, Hopin, Eventbrite) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience scaling through/and or leveraging agency and contractor resources.
Preferred qualifications
  • A startup mentality with a bias to action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced industry and work environment.
  • Experience marketing B2B cloud services and/or software solutions.
  • Superb organisation and project management skills and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects at once.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to craft actionable insights from complex data.
  • Resourceful, creative and dedicated to achieving operational and creative excellence.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing external vendors and stakeholders.
  • A creative mindset and problem-solving ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges in event planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and digital marketing is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for event execution.
