Job description

Overview

Latinos for Education is seeking a diligent and efficient Manager, Development Operations to bolster our development efforts. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Manager, Development Operations will play a critical role in ensuring that our development systems are robust, accurate, and fully implemented. 

Responsibilities  

DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS 

  • Serve as the primary owner of development tracking in Salesforce
  • Ensure proper tracking across all development portfolios, including accounts, opportunities, deliverables, next steps, etc.
  • Generate development and deliverables reports in Salesforce
  • Support the development team in prospect research to vet prospective individual, corporate, or foundation donors
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure internal meetings with fundraisers (CEO, EDs, etc.) have updated agendas and track next steps  
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather data, stories, documents, and financial information for funder proposals and reports
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate submission of proposals and reports
  • Collaborate with the development team to create or update collateral used in funder meetings (one-pagers, pitch decks, etc.)
  • Collaborate with development team on donor stewardship projects as needed 

DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS & TEAM OPERATIONS  

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to implement system and project management improvements (including troubleshooting or creating new processes in Salesforce and Monday.com, etc.)
  • Serve as primary project manager coordinator for the Development team in collaboration with team leadership
  • Lead the coordination of External Affairs team meetings and retreats
  • Identify and recommend new strategies to keep the External Affairs team connected through collaboration and information sharing
  • Collaborate on other external affairs projects as needed, including events
  • Support scheduling needs for External Affairs larger internal/external meetings 

EXECUTIVE LEVEL SUPPORT  

  • Support in calendaring, travel logistics, and expense management for the Chief Advancement Officer as needed 

GENERAL MANAGEMENT 

  • Participate in all-staff meetings and retreats and collaborate with teammates as needed
  • Help build organizational culture and embody Latinos for Education core values 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in development operations for a mission-driven organization.
  • Proficient in CRM management; Salesforce CRM preferred, with a demonstrated ability to manage development data, create reports, and optimize system functionality to support fundraising efforts.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration and timely execution.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing internal and external meetings, with attention to detail and follow-through on action items.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from data, support strategic decision-making, and drive process improvements in development operations.

Compensation Philosophy

Latinos for Education offers competitive industry rate salary bands to retain and grow talented individuals. We conduct a robust internal and external benchmarking process to ensure that our salaries are competitive.

The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:

  • Compensation Band: $63,750 - $86,250
  • Mid-Point: $75,000

The compensation band midpoint represents the market rate for a position, and a candidate who fully meets the qualifications and experience required for the role will generally be paid at this level. An offer made to a candidate that is above the midpoint would represent someone who is extraordinarily qualified.
