Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking a Senior contractor to engage on a 3+ month data migration remote assignment with potential to extend. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. MUST : ***Need candidate to join by last week of October***

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data engineering, cloud architecture, or working with data infrastructure.
• Database migration experience, AWS to GCP is required; Experience with migrating from AWS to  CloudSQL and/or AWS to AlloyDB
• Google Cloud Platform experience is required (Multi-Cloud implementation experience would be beneficial)
• Experience with building, monitoring and logging systems as part of data platforms is required.
• Documenting a solution inclusive of architectures, pricing, and other technology design considerations.
• Proficiency in Python programming language and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling and schema design.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of Postgres is desirable
• Background in professional services/consulting.
