Your missions

Field Services Representative/Engineer

Fairwinds Technologies is a value-added systems integrator of C4ISR technologies providing communications, networking and information technology solutions to the US DoD, Intelligence Community and Department of Homeland Security. 

Fairwinds Technologies is currently seeking experienced Field Services Representative's (FSR)/field Services Engineer (FSE) to provide their technical expertise in RF systems to produce solutions for a small team in the design, development, integration, documentation, and test of operational prototypes ultimately transitioning these into production. We are looking for 8 FSR's. 

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
  • 10+ years’ experience in RF Systems Engineering.
  • ACTIVE Secret security clearance.
  • Experience performing systems analysis & design. 
  • Experience translating customer requirements into solution(s).
  • Strong understanding of communication Waveforms and Access Techniques.
  • Strong understanding of communication components; antenna to modem.
  • Strong understanding of RF test & measurement equipment.
  • Ability to design and analyze system & unit level tests.
  • Experience assisting test engineer(s) with documentation and analysis. 
  • Experience with Military & Commercial communication systems.
  • Experience writing Technical White Papers, Presentations and Reports.
  • Understanding of Digital Signal Processing for techniques for communications systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Ability to brief Senior Leadership and Customers on Technical matters.

 

Additional Experience Desired

  • Understanding of DoD Transmission and Networking Architectures.
  • Familiarity with Networking (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, routing & switching protocols).
  • Knowledge of DoD RF engineering and practices.
  • Knowledge of DoD SATCOM systems.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.
