Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee
the financial operations. you will manage daily financial operations, including
accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions, ensuring
accuracy and timeliness. You will play a key role in optimizing cash flow,
leading month-end and year-end closing processes, and managing internal
controls.
What will you be doing?
1. Financial Record
Keeping and Bookkeeping:
a. Maintain accurate
financial records for all business transactions (accounts payable, accounts
receivable, payroll, general ledger).
b. Record day-to-day
financial transactions and complete the posting process.
c. Ensure that financial
statements are reconciled monthly and discrepancies are investigated and
resolved promptly.
d. Manage the company's
accounts, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal
policies and external regulations.
2. Financial Management
and Reporting:
a. Prepare monthly,
quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements,
balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
b. Prepare and present the
investor report including dealing with the Venture capital-based investor and
calculate all KPIs required by the investor.
c. Provide insights into
the company’s financial performance and present forecasts to senior management.
d. Assist in developing
financial strategies by forecasting cash flow and anticipating capital needs.
e. Monitor budgets and
compare them with actual costs and revenues to assist in budget planning.
3. Compliance and
Regulatory:
a. Ensure compliance with
Saudi tax regulations, Zakat, VAT, and any other applicable local tax
obligations.
b. Liaise with external
auditors and tax authorities to ensure accurate and timely submissions of tax
filings and annual audits.
c. Stay updated on local
accounting regulations (GAAP, IFRS) and BNPL-specific financial guidelines.
4. Accounts Payable and
Receivable:
a. Oversee and manage all
aspects of the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing.
b. Manage accounts
receivable to maintain healthy cash flow, including payment tracking and
follow-ups.
c. Ensure accounts payable
are paid in a timely manner, and manage vendor relationships.
d. Work closely with BNPL
partners to manage their payment schedules and ensure the reconciliation of
transactions.
5. Internal Controls
and Process Improvement:
a. Develop, implement, and
maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure robust financial
management and control.
b. Continuously assess and
improve accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
c. Establish and monitor
internal controls to prevent fraud and financial errors.
6. Collaboration and
Leadership:
a. Lead a small accounting
team (if applicable), providing training and guidance on accounting policies
and procedures.
b. Work closely with the
operations and technology teams to streamline BNPL transaction data into the
accounting system.
c. Collaborate with senior
management to support decision-making through accurate financial analysis.
7. Systems and Software:
a. Utilize accounting
software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, or other financial systems) to record transactions
and generate reports.
b. Ensure proper
integration of BNPL technology platforms with the accounting system to
streamline reconciliation processes.
c. Oversee the
implementation of financial systems and recommend improvements to existing
tools.
Requirements
You're a perfect match if you have
1. Educational
Background:
a. Master degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a reputed university
b. Professional accounting
qualifications (e.g., AECPA, CA, ACCA) preferred.
2. Experience:
a. Minimum of 8+ years of
experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the fintech,
BNPL, or banking sectors.
b. Strong knowledge of
accounting regulations in Saudi Arabia, including Zakat, VAT, and local tax
compliance.
c. Experience in managing
the accounting for a fast-paced, high-growth business.
3. Technical Skills:
a. Proficiency in
accounting software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, or similar).
b. Strong Excel skills for
financial analysis and reporting including the power Query and Power pivot.
c. Filing Experience of
local regulatory requirements in KSA including the VAT, WHT, Zakat and CIT.
4. Personal Attributes:
a. Strong analytical
skills and attention to detail and Excellent organizational and time management
skills.
b. Ability to work
independently and lead financial projects.
c. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills.
d. Fluency in both Arabic
and English is highly preferred.
5. Additional
Requirements:
a. Knowledge of BNPL
industry operations and key metrics.
b. Ability to work in a
fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
c. Previous experience in
a similar position in the Middle East region is a plus.
