In this role you will manage and resolve disputes related to workers' compensation claims while identifying and implementing improvements in our technical competence and evidence-based decision-making processes. This role requires a high level of collaboration with diverse team members to ensure we achieve and maintain exceptional technical expertise and service quality across the organization.

This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively resolving matters and work collaboratively with other claims team members to make this happen
  • Participating in meetings to review workers compensation claim disputes and provide progress updates
  • Ensuring instructions to our Legal Panel are provided in a timely manner
  • Representing EML at the South Australian Employment Tribunal
  • Critically analyse claims files and gather evidence to develop strategies for dispute resolution
  • Establishing effective mechanisms for providing technical feedback (including at an individual and team level), updates and learnings

ABOUT YOU

  • A keenness to learn and understand operational application of legislation requirements
  • Inquisitive and always looking for effective ways to solve problems
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to speak in front of groups
  • The ability to collaborate and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and negotiate with and influence those stakeholders
  • Experience within a legal environment is desired but not essential
