Job Overview:

As an Operations Associate, you will be a part of a scaled services team responsible for executing on key operational workflows for the company. You will be responsible for managing and scaling operational tasks, and data analysis requests. Developing scripts and applications using JavaScript, Python, and other relevant programming languages to bring in automation. This team is unique to Coursera as it will touch all of our end users (partners, learners and clients) and will require a strong customer-centric approach to work in addition to keen critical thinking skills and process orientation. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and scale technical workflows to ensure seamless services operations, utilizing internal tools, databases, and platform expertise, underscored by customer empathy.
  • You will be responsible for leveraging advanced analytics tools to provide actionable insights, automate processes, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Develop scripts and applications using JavaScript, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and team members across departments to facilitate understanding and address the needs of our platform's users, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and opportunities, contributing to projects aimed at mitigating risks and optimizing operations.
  • Generate informed advice, strategies, and ideas, catering to the diverse requirements of various stakeholders and partners.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation and resources for internal and external reference.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to devise and implement creative technical solutions for partners, learners, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/CSE/BCA/MCA is preferred, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with internal stakeholders and team members across functions.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Highly adaptable, able to manage multiple projects and respond to shifting priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn, with a proven track record of handling computer-based tasks efficiently
  • Experience in data analytics and programming.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, Python, and other programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Python, SQL and other programming languages to enhance processing and analytics. 
  • Background in leading and scaling technical workflows
  • Skills in data pulling, analysis, and reporting including a demonstrated ability to navigate complex databases independently 
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, with a preference for candidates who show a strong ability to understand and navigate technical platforms and databases.
