Application Support Specialist, Supply Chain Management

Application Support Specialist will support Supply Chain Management applications as part of establishing an application management function within Digital for T&O. You will have the opportunity to design, analyze, and implement efficient IT systems (inc. overseeing system upgrades), provide 2nd line support, manage Vendors, identify problems and opportunities within Hempel and provide digital solutions and assist on the development of Features and User Stories with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders to understand their issues and requirements

• Develop and analyze functional specifications

• Coordinate with developers to build and implement technology solutions

• Facilitate and hand over user acceptance test of deliveries

• Plan and oversee deployments (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations)

• Integrate multiple systems and reconcile the needs of different teams

• Gather feedback from end users about system performance and adjust accordingly

• Analyze ticket trends to identify areas of improvement

• Provide advice and technical training

• Keep abreast of technology trends and developments

Qualifications and competences

• An academic background within the field of Information Technology

• At least 2-5 years’ experience as an IT Analyst or IT Programmer or similar role

• Programming experience with strong knowledge of SQL (MS SQL) e.g. C#

• Knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting

• Experience with agile methodologies, Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing preferred

• Experience working with ITIL, ServiceNow (or similar tool) and Continual Improvement

• Good understanding of software architecture, design principles and integrations patterns

• Experience with supply chain management applications would be a big advantage (we work on TXT application)

• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving attitude

• Proactive and self-driven

• Experience working in an international environment with teams and stakeholders in multiple locations and time zones

• Fluent in English, verbal and in writing
